ECAD and MCAD collaboration overview

MECODES with CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE and Xpedition

Synchronize ECAD and MCAD PCB data

MECODES collaboration process can begin from 3DEXPERIENCE. MCAD engineer creates a PCB inside robot’s head and places components. The PCB will now be collaborated on. MCAD engineer exports a baseline with data about current PCB. Sent baseline is now used to synchronize ECAD PCB data with MCAD. ECAD engineer places some components on PCB. Changes to the PCB need to be validated in MCAD so a proposal is sent. MCAD engineer reviews the proposed changes and after review, MCAD engineer refuses two of the proposed changes and sends the response. ECAD engineer applies the response and is now aware of rejected changes. PCB data is synchronized in ECAD and MCAD. Further collaboration can continue.
